It hasn't been given a lot of national press, mainly due to some of the other big news stories. The fact still remains: my beloved hometown of Nashville, TN and many of the surrounding cities are underwater. Declared disaster areas.

I will spare you the details & simply ask you to view the pictures below. If you've ever visited our fantastic city, and these pictures move you, please follow the instructions below on how to donate to The Red Cross Disaster Relief program.

I know I'm not a regular poster in this forum, but I'm reaching out as far & wherever I can to help my friends, family and neighbors recover. Every dollar helps. In fact, every good thought, prayer, etc. helps as well.

BBC news showed some of the devastation and talked about the death toll.
I had no idea it hit Nashville so hard.

Our local news ( Asheville NC ) is keeping us very updated on this

You guys have been in my prayers. We went through this in Houston in 2001 with Tropical Storm Allison, and then in 2008 with Hurricane Ike. I know how devastating this is.

They've been airing coverage about it every night on NBC Nightly News. We've had quite a bit of flooding here in Kentucky as well. I'm praying for everybody going through this mess

I have spent some time in your fair city and here's hoping everything is back to normal soon with as little damage as possible!
