I need the lawn mower whisperer...

I swear I can't keep a lawn mower for more than two summers! To top it off, I suck at small engine repairs (large engines too, but there is no need to pile on bitches! mad ) I bought a BRAND NEW one from Sears LAST YEAR...yep, won't start! It's SPRING! The grass ain't gonna wait the week that Sears told me that it will take to get it back! My neighbors are talkin' about me, I just know it. Hell, I think my wife snickers at my ineptitude with anything mechanical.

I need a condo. lol

Lawn mowers aren't supposed to be disposable, are they? confused
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Are you mowing the gravel in the planted garden too? tease
What brand of mower did you buy? Time for Sears to make good on that guarantee or warrentee on the product. Two years? neutral

Not much that can go wrong with those engines.

Probably didn't stabilize the fuel over the winter or you fouled the spark plug. Did you check those?
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

Naw, it has something to do with the pull string...it only goes half way up, then comes to a COMPLETE stop...I almost pulled my arm out of the socket.
I hurt my hand pretty bad a few years ago with the same problem on another machine.

Stabilize the fuel? huh?

I changed the oil, spark plug and air filter on one mower...thing still wouldn't start...I hatem, I tell ya!

It's a Weed Eater....pretty green color. lol
I know right? I've taken it in (of course, I don't have the paperwork) and they have a standard price of $55 to fix (plus parts if needed)

1.If you bought a Sears brand that was your first mistake; get yourself a Briggs & Stratton the next time, if this one dies.

2. Have your lawn mower served before winter storage, always.

3.Making sure your carburetor is clean, good working spark plug, oil, and take care water hasn't gotten into the gasoline. My husband would run the mower to it was empty of gas and then refill. He bought enough gas for a mow, two tops, preferring to buy new gas.

Have you taken the blade off, pulled the start cord, and put the blade back?

I had a similar issue and it worked for the summer...then the spark plug hole became stripped and oh well, had to buy another.

Man, I went through three weedeaters the other day. Boy, was I pissed. I totally destroyed some cheap-ass Toro unit. I looked like Gallagher mashing a watermelon with that thing. It sure did feel good, though.

Except in the wallet...

My Toro mower worked great for two summers but a couple weeks ago, some part fell off the inside front. It was some metal shield that was welded in and I guess it rusted off. Now when I mow, clippings shoot out the front of the mower.

I might need a new mower.

I have no lawn and therefore no lawn problems and no lawn advice but.... the title of this thread just made me lol lol lol . All I could picture is someone starting a business where they go to peoples houses and talk to their lawnmowers and weedwackers. Too funny....

Get an electric mower if your yard isn't huge. I bought a Neuton electric mower which runs off a battery. Works just fine and no gas fumes, no overly loud noise, no oil to change, etc. They also make a model that will cut larger yards.
