Which scam is the must see? Dr. Mercola or the bottled water?

It's hard to drink tap, though! Even through a PUR filter it tastes bad.

For a while I had water delivered--reusable bottles, still tastes good--and that was a good solution. But it is ridiculous to pay so much for water when it comes virtually for free in my tap.

i don't mind tap- water here is nice!

It just seems weird that the old disgusting pipes don't make us sick to drink water that comes through them. I guess it's all the chlorine.

And why do we need to be drinking stuff like Flouride? I brush my teeth, isn't that enough?

I have two Brita pitchers. One in the frig at home. One on my desk at work.

Toronto tap is pretty good, IMO. Filter it further, and it's perfectly fine.

I buy the occasional bottled water only when I want sparkling, and there are no naturally carbonating springs in Southwestern Ontario.

In the winter our tap is fine. Right now it's kinda like you dipped your drinking glass into a swimming pool so I bought bottled.

We have the Britta pitcher but always forget to keep up with the filter.

Why is NYC water so nasty looking. Last time I was there, that shit looked like it had dirt in it.

Only tap water I found disgusting ever was in middle of nowhere Texas. There is no singing in the shower there, because you don't want so much as a drop of that shit on your tongue.

Growing up in Boston, I liked the water. Wisconsin, central coast California, Maryland...liked the water in all those places. Not Western Texas though. It was bottled water the whole time I was there.

i drink bottled water, because i don't like the after-taste of the tap water here.

Here in Thailand though, I don't dare touch tap water. Even though, in the city it's supposed to be safe.

I use a gallon jug, and just go to one of the water dispensing machines and refill my water as needed---it ultimately (for me) means I'm reducing my plastic consumption just as much as using the filters in the states.

I am guilty of buying bottled water all the time. I was buying the 24 pack of poland springs every 2 weeks. After watching that clip, I'm getting a brita and a non plastic container to take water with me.

If everyone plays a little part in this we could make a difference...just sayin'.

I also have a A PUR water pitcher... Whats nice is there is an indicator light at the top that flashes red when its time to change the filter..

I drink tap all the time....I'm in NY...I stayed in Florida once and tried their tap....bleh. I've been thinking of getting a water purifier though.

Some friends of mine are going through this company and the water is great. It's worth looking into if you're interested in getting a filtration system.

When I first started at the truckstop there, I was given a tour of the building. When we got to the prep area, something stunk like rancid raw chicken meat. I thought the Popeye's in the building was having issues, turned out it was the water.

A good size chunk of my first paycheck went towards bottled water

I do care about the planet, but I also care about my health. I wonder sometimes about drinking from the tap, and I don't think Brita & PUR really filter all the chemicals out.

Can only drink bottled drinking water and mineral water out here.

It's very cheap though. Tesco always have promotions so you can pick up six 1.5 litre bottles for $1.50.

Back in the UK I drink the tap water. It's great where my folks live.

That Mercola guy is generally full of shit.

That said, bottled water is dumb.

My in-laws used to drink tap water here, after heating it up in big drums outside in the sun. Even they now drink bottled water.
