LOVE my iPhone. omg!!!!
I use it for EVERYTHING, totally geeked out. 1. tweeting all day from wherever I am 2. facebooking all day from wherever I am 3. uploading pictures to facebook on the fly 4. headache diary: this has been an amazing tool to track my headache problem, triggers, environment, times they begin and end, even pulls in weather info for each headache and exports a full spreadsheet so I can study and compare and figure out the triggers 5. MAPS -- the map feature is beyond fantastic!!! public transport routes, traffic jams, etc. 6. LISTS -- I make all sorts of lists and refer to them throughout the day to remember what I have to do, buy etc. 7. Urbanspoon -- find restaurants nearby wherever I am 8. Fandango 9. Travel: Going to NYC next week. I downloaded an app that has subway maps, bus maps, tourist attractions, basically anything I need for anything I want to do ...and so much more...

purplehippieonthe1 said: The iPhone must be cheaper in the US and Canada, because where I live the CHEAPEST model is sold for 1130 US$! No way I would pay that kind of money for a mobile phone - even if it has other capabilities.
The cheapest here is 8000 pesos - that's like $650 USD, and if I had the money, I would SO buy it

I have to say, the iPhone is such breakthrough (at least my life )that its limitations are immediate apparent. The small screen bugs me, and my 'data retrieval' is slow. And the apps are all buggy. All of them.
I can definitely see why the iPad would entice. I'd love to have a bigger screen and just sit in bed and surf, and actually be able to see the fine print. My computer-sitting time has gone way down, and that's a great thing. I don't like laptops, don't own one. [Edited 4/9/10 13:08pm]

If you jailbreak, you automatically void any warrantee or Extended Applecare Plan you may still have on the iPhone. Apple may or may not still be willing to do repairs if you encounter a problem, but you'll pay every penny out of pocket. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

This is true, good point, but if you do a DFU restore before sending into Apple, they will repair under warranty/Applecare becuase there will be no evidence of jailbreak. If you can't do a restore, however, you take your chances. This is the primary reason that I have not yet jailbroken my phone. I am out of warranty now, however, and my AT&T contract is up in July. Once the contract is done, I will jailbreak and unlock the phone. a psychotic is someone who just figured out what's going on

I don't know what I did without it. I LOVE IT!!!!! I especially love the fact that I have FEMALE TROUBLE on there so I can watch it anytime I want. I haven't put much music on it though. My fave apps so far: CNN EDGE IMDB YOUTUBE YELP SHAZAM LOUVRE FLIXTER AROUNDME Have you tried the Grindr app? Grindr uses the GPS on our iPhones to geolocate the booty. You can connect with like 15 guys within a five mile radius. Life changing!
