I am just back from Trinidad and there in the countryside many men are going shirtless all the time during the day when it is very hot. My bf included. Once in a food place in his little village an older friend told him that he lacked respect for doing that eek.
On the other hand being topless on the beach is not allowed for women while in my home country that is totally common practice shrug.
IMO it should not be illegal for men or women.

I can sometimes be found out in the front yard or in the street just in front of the house without a shirt on, but I would feel like an idiot doing that anywhere else outside, other than the swimming pool or on the beach (actually on the beach, probably not even walking to or from it). I see guys walking down Khao San Road, a busy tourist area here, without a shirt on, and the word 'douchebag' always comes to mind. They're just reinforcing the stereotypical image of farangs (white westerners) as beer swilling, disrespectful, uncultured louts.

What? I can imagine it. There's no doubt it's more socially acceptable for a man to be in public topless than it is for a woman. lol Personally I'm against douchebags walking around with their shirts off but I can't see how it can be argued the situation is the same whether it's a man or woman and that it should be treated as such.

Oh I was referring that everyone should be allowed or not allowed no matter if they are good looking or not lol. Sorry for the confusion.

I personally don't see anything wrong whether it is a man or a woman. And IMO people who do it are not douchebags.

People should not be ashamed of the human body regardless of how it looks. or if being shirtless should be illegal. Just another case of the shallow finger pointing world we live in.

I don't think it should be illegal, but there's a time and place and people with any amount of class are aware of that.

If I'm walking down the street and some guy's doing work in his yard with his shirt off, that wouldn't phase me, but I don't want to be seated next to him in a restaurant with his shirt off. And he should put one on if he's walking to the store.

I don't care if that makes me uptight. Time and place.
