Could he have used the emergency brake? (I remember learning how to use that in driver's ed as a last resort type of thing.)

using an emergency brake while going over 90 mph may not be the best idea...lol

So, when you press on both the gas AND brake pedals the car can still move forward like you're not pressing the brake at all?

there's a huge difference in riding the brake and standing on the brake...it doesn't take much pressure to engage the brakes and brake light...we've all been behind that person that rides their breaks going down the road, haven't we...?
so yeah, you can press both and move...

Not just move, but go 90 mph. I just don't understand if he pressed his brakes while going that fast, to the point of burning up his pads and rotors, how does the car not stop immediately or slow down drastically and visibly??? confuse

maybe the driver makes sure to apply them in a way that it doesn't drastically slow or stop the car...
or the brakes & rotors were previously damaged...
it's totally possible...
it's just as possible as this being a legit sudden accleration case...

The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.
