Hey US orgers, can u please tell me what help your particular state offers in State and Federal help in the way of Cash Assistance, Food Stamps and Medical Care!!?? Right now I am living in Minnesota and years ago it was top of its league regarding helping people with these state and federal benefits, but now its failing its people!! One of the States rules is that immigrants and other people have 2 b in the state for 3 months before they can avail themselves of such things as cash assistance and food stamps!! Well, my 3 months are up now and I have just applied for cash assistance and I have been declined, yet they gave me free medical about 2 months ago!!!!

At the end of this month we are moving from the Nicollet County(North Mankato) 2 the McCleod County(Glencoe) and the Salvation Army wont help us with our rent deposit as we have been told they would, cos we are not moving to one of the 5 counties that they have on their list!!!!!

I am getting sick and tired of Minnesota and all its bullshit!!!!

So, which States are the best 2 move 2 for State and Federal help!!

some states have a residency requirement..as in you don't get benefits on day 1, you have to live there for a certain time period first

I know it doesnt apply 2 me cos I am not a young mother with kids, but in Colorado, they are cutting back on helping all these "baby producing factories"!! They only help single mothers and families with 2 kids, but anymore than that u are on your own, which, if you want my opinion, is how it should b!!!!

Try Wisconsin. My ex is looking to move there because it seems to be easier about this sort of thing than Maryland. She is not a baby factory though. Nor is she an immigrant.

Wisconsin is like Minnesota, just with less successful pop stars and more successful football teams.
