Has anyone seen Alice In Wonderland yet?

Just wondering if anyone has gone to see Alice In Wonderland yet?

If so, what did you think?

Thanks.

I saw it last night with my son.

It was ok, not bad but certainly not amazing. Had some cute characters but had this one scene at the end that was totally cheese factor 5. neutral

I still think it is really worth checking out though.

Yes, he loved a couple of the characters. I will say that it's ok for younger kids. No real scary parts.

I just saw it in 3D and since I am an aspiring 3D artist...I LOVED it!

As a true lover of all things Johnny Depp, I HATED it! There was no where near enough of Johnny Depp in it for my taste! lol
I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

For most movies of this caliber (or anything 3D for that matter) I try to leave my brain at the door. Treat it as entertainment and you probably won't be disappointed.

I often feel that too many critics sit down to a "fun" movie and EXPECT Citizen Kane or Spartacus...

When I saw Avatar I did just this and it served me quite well, it was just a stunning film. I mean OF COURSE it was Dances with Wolves in Bleu but who cares that movie was POPPIN' eyepop

I saw it and love it, I think alot of the critics thought it was going to be a remake of Alice in Wonderland when in reality its more like a sequel.

it was perfect in my opinion...quirky, silly, not dark and brooding like some Burton movies...visually, it was great too...not overstated or exaggerated,,,it was nice to see that he didn't try to reinvent anything..they really brought Wonderland to life...

Just got back from watching it and I agree. It was okay, but not great. Not worth rushing to theaters opening weekend for. Better in theaters than on DVD for sure...but it can probably wait if you don't want to deal with crowds.

I get the impression some of the critics who gave it bad reviews were just expecting a re-hash of the Disney style.

Depp's Hatter makeup weirds me out. Maybe I'll change my mind when I see it Sunday, but for now I still think he looks like Madonna and Elijah Woods' lovechild.

he makes some odd choices too. the scottish brogue... meh.

i wanted to like it. i wish they had just made the original book instead of making a quasi-sequel, especially because there has not been a really good movie adaptation of the book. oddly, some of the numerous tv versions have been closest. the 50s disney one really didnt do it for me.
