The captions made me laugh, but most of those places looked like somewhere I'd love to live.
It's what you make it.

I felt the same way. I'd love to live in some of those houses!

Although mine would be full of clutter and defeat the purpose lol

I think this website is misnamed, either that, or that's a different strain of "hipsters" than I'm used to seeing in the LES/Williamsburg. shrug
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

There. He felt it again. The whole house had unmistakeably slid toward the retaining wall, as if inching toward edificial suicide.

You can come out when you can properly explain the differences between Modernist architecture and postmodern ornamentation.

Why do you say that?

Clutter=joy? lol

I agree the homes that look like you'd be afraid to sit down in are a bit much, but many of these look quite functional and lived in.

I think homes with lots of "stuff" can be beautiful too, but I appreciate the simplicity of these.

My place is getting to be kinda that way. redface

Kinda funny you say that. We go to my wife's sister's place and though not post-modern, there is no clutter anywhere, which is cool, but then you realize there isn't anything there. It's like, what do you do? Are you like, into anything? Any interests or ????

Our place is the opposite extreme. Piles of shit everywhere. Books, papers, kid junk, pet hair. It sucks. And yet people like to be here.

You just put stuff "away" when you're not using it. lol On a shelf, in a cupboard, instead of it lying aorund everywhere. This is especially key if you have kids or pets who like to ruin things.

Honestly, I've lived both ways, with piles of stuff all over and with a place for everything and I'm much more relaxed in a clean, simple, somewhat organized environment.

That's definitely a good way to live, but it feels like a hamster wheel. Never ending. I'm a bigger fan of just throwing shit in the garbage can smile
