NO excuse for these people. right. they haven't learned to love. they've passed you their hurt; you don't have to keep it. remember that the sadness doesn't really belong to you and you will be better able to drive it from your body, when you're ready to do so... | |

There are lots of mentally ill people, some so severe that they lose any capacity for rational thought. Lots of others aren't so severe, and amongst them are those with "nice" mental illness, and those with "nasty" mental illness - ie some who pass hurt onto others (or rather share it, because they won't ever be able to lose it themselves) and some who don't. But that difference isn't just because one set made the "right" choice and the other the "wrong" choice - it's because one set have managed the huge task of overcoming the hatred they feel towards a world that has treated them so badly, and the other set haven't managed that. That doesn't mean there's no excuse for those passing their hurt on - the hell that the world has already put them thru at least explains why they might do what they do. We can't expect everyone subjected to hurt and pain to have the strength to forgive the world - sometimes that hurt is just too much to forgive, or the person is too weak to forgive. What they do might be wrong, and we sure don't want to be encouraging them to hurt others, but we can at least understand why they do what they do - their actions don't make them evil. We should show compassion and sympathy/understanding to ALL of our neighbours, not just those who are nice to us - don't be like the animal lovers who only go in for the nice cuddly creatures. All those who believe in telekinetics, raise my hand...
