JustErin said: I just have to say that Kathy Ireland's interviewing was terrifying. She looked like she was being held up by a pole that was rammed up her ass as her head bobbled around and her arms stretched out in pain.
And the woman is huge it was like watching a bright orange Navi avatar interview people. She was truly frightening.

I agree that's it one of the most boring. But shortest? What the hell edited version were you watching? Because that felt like 12 hours of my life gone forever watching that shit.

What the hell were they trying to do? That Neil Patrick Harris opener was horrid. And interpretive dance? Seriously? That thing where five different people come on to gush about all the best actor and best actress nominees is so gross and so Hollywood. It just makes any decent human being want to puke (Helen Mirren was the only one who seemed to realize that).

The opening by Neil was pretty but a let down. I enjoyed the rest.

I think it was when Precious won best adapted screenplay, they showed shots of the cast, then they showed Morgan Freeman who was lookin like "What? Really? Cuz I'm black?? I wasn't in this movie."
They did the same with Sam Jackson at one point.

They did the same with Sam Jackson at one point. Morgan's cranky cuz he just wants to get home so he can bang his granddaughter. And this 19-hour Oscars was taking WAY too long to get finished.

luv4u said: Danny Glover asks Oscars nominees to help Ohio factory workers by shunning Hugo Boss suits
at 17:39 on March 6, 2010, EDT. By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS American actor Danny Glover. (THE ASSOCIATED PRESS/Francois Mori) CLEVELAND - Actor/activist Danny Glover is calling on Academy Awards nominees and others in the film industry to not wear Hugo Boss suits at Sunday's awards ceremony. The "Lethal Weapon" star makes the request in a letter on behalf of 375 Cleveland factory workers who'll lose their jobs if the German company closes the plant next month as planned. The Feb. 26 letter asks Hollywood to "take a small stand for American workers." It asks Oscars attendees to wear on their lapels a pin reading, "Keep the Hugo Boss Plant Open." Glover is collaborating with the labour union Workers United. The union says the plant is profitable and the company is shutting it because it can make clothing more cheaply in Europe. Hugo Boss AG says the plant isn't globally competitive. ©The Canadian Press, 2010 On one hand, I agree with Glover. It made sense for people to invest their money in a product being produced on their turf, and if those products aren't made there anymore, then heck, I could understand people not wanting to buy anymore. I also know Cleveland pretty well, and I feel for those folks if this plant closes because the city is the most economically depressed in the nation. However, living in Germany, let me tell you that the economy here is fucked right now. I know at least 6 people who have lost their jobs and have been struggling to support themselves and their families. I know people who are awaiting impending lay offs. It won't be to long until the country implodes because of the economic crisis here. I can understand very clearly how German companies will have to cut corners and cut costs overseas. There are two sides to every coin. I just hope they can keep the plant open as long as they can, until they simply can't anymore.

you're right and Gabby too, bless her. she and oprah had me all emotional and stuff during that part of the show Can't please everybody. When Monique won the trophy, I knew right then & there that nobody else in the cast would get one. Anyway, I already made my feelings clear about "White lady saves the day" but I also LOVE Ms.Bullock, considering her time in hollywood, she's more deserving of the Oscar than Gabby, and maybe, just MAYBE this will give her more freedom to choose better roles in the future. It has been a good year for her.

How old is she? She looked fantastic! I also saw her being interview on the classic movien channel. She seems to be in really good shape! Sandra B.. *meh* I have some dirt on her regarding when she dated Bob Schneider. Her speech was really emotional.. but I really wish she'd remember those feelings when she's going after other women's boyfriends(?)---allegedly. Apparently Bullock just stalked him like groupie. Then he dumped his girlfriend (or it may have been his FIRST wife) for her. I wasn't there, but that's the rumor. Of course, Bob Schneider is no saint either! But Sandra Bullock sort of reminds me of Julia Roberts in the way she takes what she wants..allegedly! I'm glad Jeff Bridges won. I'm glad the "The Weary Kind" won. And no Farrah in the tribute? Didn't she make a few movies? I thought the show was only ok. It was boring. Every year, I watch, and then swear I'm never watching again! [Edited 3/8/10 5:43am]
