What the hell were they trying to do? That Neil Patrick Harris opener was horrid. And interpretive dance? Seriously? That thing where five different people come on to gush about all the best actor and best actress nominees is so gross and so Hollywood. It just makes any decent human being want to puke (Helen Mirren was the only one who seemed to realize that).

On one hand, I agree with Glover. It made sense for people to invest their money in a product being produced on their turf, and if those products aren't made there anymore, then heck, I could understand people not wanting to buy anymore. I also know Cleveland pretty well, and I feel for those folks if this plant closes because the city is the most economically depressed in the nation.

However, living in Germany, let me tell you that the economy here is fucked right now. I know at least 6 people who have lost their jobs and have been struggling to support themselves and their families. I know people who are awaiting impending lay offs. It won't be to long until the country implodes because of the economic crisis here. I can understand very clearly how German companies will have to cut corners and cut costs overseas. There are two sides to every coin. I just hope they can keep the plant open as long as they can, until they simply can't anymore.

Sandra B.. *meh* I have some dirt on her regarding when she dated Bob Schneider.
