My neighbor and I have a worm bin. It makes great compost. nod

Ours is just a wood box on the ground, basically. One half holds dry leaves and the other holds kitchen scraps, and we layer the leaves on top of scraps when we put them in.

I never actually see the worms, but there are other weird little creepy crawlies that get in there and hang out on top. They gross me out. I deal with it. shrug

our compost is full of regular earthworms nod

sometimes we steal some to go fishing lurking

a) all your organic waste is recycled on your premises
which in turn cuts down the household waste that needs to be carted away by the council
b) it makes free soil for you, very rich, fertile soil for you plants

win win biggrin
