Now, my sister is prone to believe MANY things. She believes that the queen of England could very possibly be a V-like amphibian or reptile creature who's wearing a human disquise to fool us. Moroever, she believes that the governments of the world are ruled by these alien creatures who are up to dubious deeds. I'm not even going to get into all the detail cause she actually believes this, and it's very disturbing to me.

Um, really?

eek

Someone in my family believes that exact thing. boxed

And yes, I have smelled this. My aunt was left all alone in my care and was very ill. She didn't tell us what was wrong but I knew she was sick. She wouldn't let me call the doctors and she got into my grandma's bed and wouldn't leave. I would go in to take her breakfast and the odor is like nothing you can describe. I just knew something was off. It's not a horrible smell that turns your stomach...just a different smell that you instinctively know is somehow "wrong."

I ended up calling an ambulance and it turned out she knew she was dying of lung cancer. She barely lasted another week.

I have worked in hospice, and can tell you there is a smell of some sort..its not a death smell, so to speak...nothing decay-like....but its different on different folks. I don't know that it is just for those who are within days of dying, but certainly can be days or weeks...

I read something not long ago about it, and there is something with the way cells change and such...I can't remember..but like the body gives off pheromones, it gives off other scents that are biological.....

Hospice workers are amazing and are true angels.

God Bless You.

Shucks...thanks. I loved that job...I was a chaplain and met some wonderful people, and was blessed to be there as they transitioned into death...
