i was just reading about the Czech Republic when i spotted this:

"Easter (Velikonoce): On Easter Monday it is customary for guys to spank girls and women with a wicker stick with colorful ribbons at the end (pomlázka), in the hope that the girls and women will in turn give them colored eggs, candy or drinks. After noon, girls defend themselves by pouring water on the guys. Obvious tourists are often (but not always) exempt."

Easter Monday is only 38 days away...

I'm sure it's not just the girls who have to be aware of the big ZaZa

This custom sounds really kind of fun and potentially neighbor-building, actually. Unfortunately, if this were adopted where I grew up, there'd be retaliatory shootings and lawsuits galore.
