JustErin said: What exactly does "viking mogul" mean?
It's a blanket term for Icelandic business tycoons that expanded their business outside of Iceland. The viking part comes from them being from Iceland, where most people can trace their roots to the Vikings that came to Iceland from Norway in the 9th century, and the fact that many of them bought a lot of companies in Denmark and the UK in a short time period, so in a business-sense they "invaded" those countries, as Vikings did back in the day. In Icelandic the term for these folks is "útrásarvíkingur" which could translate as expansion-viking or export-viking. [Edited 2/26/10 18:03pm]

I love Ikea because I can buy good-looking furniture for little money.
If I had millions of dollars, I would NOT buy Ikea because most of it is made of particleboard and it scratches/dents/warps/breaks very easily. Some friends of ours recently installed an Ikea kitchen. It looks AMAZING!!!! But the stuff is particleboard with a laminate film that will probably look like sh*t in a few years with 3 young kids in the house. Ikea is great, because when fashions change, you can revamp without feeling guilty that you hate the furniture that you spent a fortune on
