I have a love hate relationship with CK Foodstore

shake

people are always starting fights in there!
the russians (we live in an area with a large russian population) are always arguing with the chinese staff in the store about the prices rolleyes

The prices are amazing, but the experience of shopping there is stressful confused

I used to be a big Marshalls/TJ Maxx guy, but not I go rarely -- and only for assorted house wares.

Actually most stores these days don't thrill me. Growing up,going to the mall was the activity everyone had to do, but being an adult the idea of shopping just to pass time doesn't thrill me anymore. rolleyes Now I'll go to Marshall's if they have a good sale, and I love going to Barnes and Noble or Borders to check out good books, but everything else is just a bore. bored

I found a cool shop that has games, which from the sign on the outside I always assumed was a gaming shop, but it's old fashioned games, puzzles, etc. They have the best Lego range I've ever seen!!!!

The department stores and Toys R Us are so limited confuse like each one carries an "exlcusive" range but really it's about 10 things. This place I found was the only one that had the biggest Pirate Ship here (I'd only seen it on eBay otherwise).

Back in the day, when some sort of electronic-gadget thing had ANY kid-purpose to it at all, it seemed like TRU had it. They used to have this long glass case that stretched at least half the length of the store that had demos of various game systems and computers running. They sold comics book things too, before stuff like the X-Men really hit mainstream.

Now, it may as well be attached to a Walmart pout

The Bed Bath & Beyond by me recently added a whole section of shampoos, hairspray, facial cleansers, lotion, toiletries, etc. and I love it because the prices are at least $1.50 - $2 less than CVS and Duane Reade (the two major drugstore chains in NYC). And they honor all manufacturer coupons. It's weird because if you look on their website it doesn't advertise that stuff. Also, I don't know if it's just the BB&B on the UWS or at others, too.

The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.
