My aunt who I always was a lot closer to than to my mother died 20 years ago in February . I still miss her.

My uncle Peter had terminal cancer at the same time, and we were expecting a call about him any time....aunty Maureen came out of left field...totally unexpected. She came home from a podiatrist appt with my nan, said she would take her lunch in her bedroom....they usually had a coffee at the shops, but Maureen said she wanted to go home. They found her passed away, with her sandwich under her pillow...she obviously didnt feel well, but didnt want to tell nan (they think it was a heart attack. she was 51. Aunty Maureen had a mental disabled..... and my dad was very protective of her)

My uncle passed away a week later, his funeral was easter saturday that year my dads brother and his sister. he was one of 10 kids, he was #8, my aunt was #3 and my uncle Peter was first born.

It's so sad to see them go . My dad and all his brothers and his sister (that aunt I mentioned) have passed away. They were 5 and now they are all gone. My dad who died in 1993 was the last one and I remember when he told me how sad it was for him to be the last one left.

My aunt was gorgeous...i still remember her singing rod stewart songs

out of 10, there are still 6 left....the three eldest have all passed, as well as my dad...he was 3rd youngest and only 58

I just read what you & Serious were saying about losing parents and their siblings....

My Mom had 3 brothers. Uncle James (my favorite ) died in 1993- a year after my grandfather, in his late 40s. Uncle Donald (the youngest) died unexpectedly last year in his early sixties. My Mom's oldest brother, who is 71, has Alzheimer's and doesn't have long. My Mom is devastated. She cries a lot...

My Dad has 2 living brothers and a sister who died shortly after Mom's brother James. He and my 2 uncles are very close.

My Granny is 93. She was one of 11. There are 3 left... her, Aunt Sadie (the youngest) who's in her 70s, and Aunt Annie who's about 91.

I have one sister (40 in a couple of weeks) and a brother (47). I hope we will have each other for a long time...

i am the eldest of 3 girls ....when the youngest turns 38 next Jan we will be 38,39 & 40 (for a mth ) we are pretty close now, fought like cats and dogs growing up...the youngest was raised by my Nan (the one with dementia).

i often worry about my son being an only child...he does have cousins though

went to my sisters shack..just kicked back with family and friends...and totally relaxed....
