PLEASE don't go into a bank OR ANY STORE and say....

You Look Like You Need Something To Do...

How ...dare you??? Do they even KNOW what goes on behind the lines? The amount of things we have to do in a day from people that WORK here, let alone customers..then just because I actually get to sit down for ONE minute, somebody want to say something like that....

Last but not least dont EVER stay on the phone in a teller line, and PLEASE do not leave your garbage for a teller or customer service person to throw away.....YOU CRAZY!?!?!?

I know some of you in here have done this!

What do you think?

I wouldn't dare say that, but I sure as hell have thought it!

I know you all work hard, but it is rather disconcerting when the bank/store is packed and you see a clerk moving at a snail's pace. Frankly, it pisses me off. mad Breaks should be taken out of sight of customers, especially if the place is extremely busy.

The last time I had idol conversation in a bank I was speaking with a Chinese teller who spoke Cantonese.

I actually knew a little cantonese, and I told her excitedly that I knew Cantonese!!! excited

She asked me to speak some, and that's when it dawned on me the only things in Cantonese that I knew were filthy dirty... boxed

The nicest thing would be: Deuw Le Mah Chow Hai (fuck your momma's stinky pussy). boxed

I then told her, I couldn't say what I knew. neutral

I think she thought I was being a creep.

I agree, customers can be a P.I.T.A., but I also think customer service makes a person jaded, and makes us unfairly jump to conclusions about our customers. I used to look for what made each of my customers a jerk. Often I would be proven wrong, but it didn't really change my attitude of judgement.

Sometimes an innocent comment or action from a customer is lumped in with what 100 people have done previously. That is not totally fair.

Speaking as someone who's spent years in retail and customer service....THANK YOU for this post! clapping

Plenty of people like to bitch and moan about their experience in stores or with customer service and never stop to consider that they may be the problem.

The worst IMO is not the outright rudeness from a minority of customers, but the thinly-veiled condescension coming from certain others. I can handle being sworn at, but I can't handle being talked down to.

I always give that person the benefit of the doubt because you never KNOW what is going on up front. That customer may be giving that person 18 different transactions and then want to talk about her grandbaby's in the same time.

Maybe to you, but when's the last time someone said it to you after you've been busting your ass all day? Even if they're just trying to be funny or cute and don't know any better, it's aggravating.

Even if I was busting my ass all day, even if I had a total shit day...it's really not a bad comment at all and I wouldn't read that much into it.

If things like this make people soooo angry I'd really hate to see how they would handle real situations that really impact your life in a seriously shitty way.

Ok well lets give you One Foreign Draft in British pounds worth 3,000 (needs approval by manager), then lets make you close up (or forced to help people in the same time) while having a deadline of 70 Money Orders (because one of your coworkers called off work and the email never got to your coordinator) to finish in a couple of hours. Let's then throw in some Cash dispensers breaking down and there is only two of you working up front because one of your 3 co workers has to leave at one, and the other one is working in another part of the city and then lets have a couple of customers yell at you because you misunderstood a digit and then the next customer tell you in your face, "You look like you're bored here's some work for ya..".

I LOOVE my job but there are days that I just want to say "BITCH SHUT THE FUCK UP"

Yes, you're right. But what pisses me off is the clerk asking about the grandbabies and then standing there and holding a conversation while 10 people are waiting to be serviced.

Yo Iziah, at least it wasn't Rip Torn showing up at your branch!

falloff

SALISBURY, Conn. — Actor Elmore "Rip" Torn has been charged with breaking into a Connecticut bank and carrying a loaded handgun while intoxicated.

State police say the 78-year-old Salisbury resident was arrested Friday night after police found him inside the Litchfield Bancorp with a loaded revolver.

The "Men in Black" actor has been taken into custody and booked on charges including burglary and possession of firearm without a permit. He is being held on $100,000 bond and is scheduled for a Monday appearance in Bantam Superior Court.

Last year, Torn was given probation in a Connecticut drunken driving case and granted permission to enter an alcohol education program. He also has two previous drunken driving arrests in New York.

A spokesman for Torn did not immediately return phone calls Saturday.
