I got my hair high-lighted today... disaster!

The girl who usually does my hair got married and moved away and did not leave a card with my coloring info at the desk.

So I was apprehensive of going to someone else because I really liked the job she did last time. I seem to have trouble finding just the right one. Anyway the owner tells me to come in that there is another girl who will do the color.
I hesitate and say to call me when my hairdresser comes back. The owner then says don't worry we will take care of you etc. etc.

Anyway so I go in for the appt and I say I just need a touch up. She looks at my hair and says don't worry I will do it. So I sit back and let her.
I notice she is putting in too many foils and I tell her I don't want to end up being a blonde or anything. I usually don't get too many foils. She tells me don't worry if it is wrong she will correct it etc. etc.

Anyway after rinsing ... I was blonde and angry. She said... don't worry we will fix it. After another 45 mins she dyed it back brown and put in partial highlights, I noticed they were flaring orange right from the begining... and not caramel as we discussed. mad

Now I am totally pissed. ... I have been there three hours already. So another more experienced colorist takes over and reduces the orange in my hair... whew

My hair is now damaged from the double bleaching and what do I tell the owner of the store tomorrow... please help.

Ok from a (hairstylist perspective) tomorrow when you go into the salon suggest that they give you a good extensive deep treatment and put back all the missing vitamins and proteins that are missing from the hair ask the owner for a refund or ask him if you dare get your hair done there again for instore credit for your (next service)
if it is damaged from double processing you just wanna leave it alone and not process it for at least 4 weeks do a intense treatment every 3 days for 20 min and in about 4 weeks the hair should be in good enough shape to have it corrected or colored again... hope this helps some...

Tell the manager of the hair place that your hair was damaged due to their mishandling of your hair and try to get free styling after your hair grows back after the damage. They would probably be more willing to do that than give you money back. If dealing and wheeling doesn't work, go to "People;s Court!" But, seriously, you have to give your hair a break from all this chemical processing, whether you get money or not! Try to just pamper your hair and get it trimmed for a couple of months and recover from the damage! biggrin

Yeah, thats pretty sound advice. And to that, I also recommend that you chill out with a little of Prince's "Xpectation" album to help you relax.

I just blow dried my hair and it is so yuck.. my fingers get stuck. I am so mad I even went to that salon today. I don't know what type of intensive treatment I should use to smoothen it out.

You should buy Schwarzkopf Repair rescue treatment or try the bed head (masque)

I'd politely ask them to shampoo and cut your hair for 6 months for nothing but the tip U pay the girl that does your hair. If U've got too much red you've got to add ash...and vice versa. It takes about to weeks to bring the moisture back.

I've always done my own hair. I need to do something about a little bit of gray coming in on the sides. cool

I had a hair disaster too once, or a couple times, the only way it got fixed was when I worked at the Hair Salon, I got my hair done for free all the time, and it finally turned back to normal. Mine head was fully bleached it's a long story; hopefully yours won't take as long as mine did.

Today the owner called me and told me to come back in to get the keratin treatment I had previously ordered and paid for in advance. I told her I wanted a refund and would go to another hairstylist to correct my hair. Anyway we went back and forth and she promised me a free keratin treatment and color due in 3 months, so I took her offer.

Now my hair has caramel crown and darker bottom.. whatever!!!!

I guess it should be fixed in three months and will be back to normal.. I hope.
