Funny.

I have to say, though, that while it's fun to rip on Beyonce, I don't think she did that bad a job in Obsessed. I think the problem was awful writing and directing.

I like to think that I'm opposed to religious discrimination, but John Travolta really brings it out in me. I hope he sweeps every category he's nominated in.

what do you suppose goes on during the filming of a total loser movie?? are the actors/tresses aware of how bad it is?

do they just plug their noses all around and do their best regardless?

i mean seriously, doesn't anyone ever stand up and say, "look, this obviously sucks... we should do something about this..."?

It's unfortunate, but actors don't have the option, like director and crew, to "Alan Smithee" themselves out of a crappy project. And while some actors have done it, I've heard walking off a set is a cardinal sin in the industry. That's the kind of stuff that gets you sued and/or blackballed for years.

Newer actors often just shut up and deal with crappy productions. Veterans have a bit more footing to critique and fight it out on set, endure the backlash and industry rumors of being "difficult," and move on to more carefully select future projects. If the actor does his/her best despite the film, fortunately lots of filmgoers and critics are savvy enough to discern a decent performance amid an otherwise hot mess.

For those who wonder why a certain decent actor would willingly participate in a stinker of movie, remember that some of them do it just for paychecks. That's one reason why that latest Al Pacino/Robert DeNiro was such a disappointment. The actors were far better than the material they were working on, but for some apparent reason they needed the work.
