The makeup chick on What Not To Wear tells everyone the same thing

to do their makeup like hers, and it always starts with applying blush to the "apples" of one's cheeks.

ya ever notice that? confuse it's mad obvious if you see a few in a row.

HAHA! Sometimes yes. But I mostly used it (on myself or as a makeup artist on others) for contouring.
It's also a nice way to add a bit of "sun" to someone's face without going as far as covering them in bronzer.

The day A Christmas Carol closed, I went straight from the theater to the nail salon to get my nails un-frenched. I just left my make-up on...and one of the ladies who works at the salon said, "You look so beautiful today."

Seeing as how I'd sweated off most of the make-up at that point, the only real difference was that I was wearing contacts instead of my usual glasses - and Mrs. Cratchit wears blush. lol

Totally.

I'm very pale with very dark hair. If I don't wear blush, I look washed out. But with blush, I look younger, healthier and it adds contour to my face instead of it looking like a flat, boring, pale blob.

I don't use powder blush, though. I use this stuff:

It's a liquid stain, and looks totally natural. I love it. mushy

I put it on my lips too, then top with my old faithful, Bonne Bell Dr. Pepper Lip Balm. giggle

It's what you make it.

Actually, my first reaction when she said it was, "How bad do I look the rest of the time?" lol

hug Well, you sounded surprised or something.

The contacts comment resonated with me, because someone at work recently told me they wanted to see me without my frames.

I've definitely posted about it before. falloff

The instructions that come with the tint tell you to paint three stripes on your cheek then blend, but I get better results by just painting a circle and quickly blending it in. It is a stain, so you have to blend quickly or it will literally stain in the shape you painted. lol I layer it on 2-3 times.

Benetint is their more famous stain. It's awesome too, but the pink one looks better on me.

It's what you make it.

You won't regret it! The Benetint makes lips look vampire sexy without looking like you put anything on them.

ooh!

I like that idea for lips! I really am starting to hate the lipstick cake-y effect. I almost never wear it anyway, but sometimes you want more color than a gloss.

I've never worn blush and since I mostly try desperately to get RID of the pink and redness on my face (yay rosecea) it seems silly to later try to apply it back on strategically. I always look like a clown.
