Before The Sopranos and The Wire, there was OZ. I always thought those shows were spin-offs or they got their creative swagger from OZ.

That show was the shit, Adebsi gives me nightmares to this day. I ain't never going to prison.

When his character was killed, I wasn't even sure if was still going to watch the show. It's a credit to the writers that they were able to keep me interested after that, because he was such a dynamic character. I also like how they really went for it in Season 6 and just killed EVERYBODY, like "Fuck it, we're going off the air anyway!"

Not really but you're right, it wasn't cable TV, Tales From The Darkside was one of those shows aired in syndication like Solid Gold and Small Wonder. I used to watch that, plus GLOW Wrestling and Freddy's Nightmares (which took over Tales for a short period), Saturday nights in the 80s.
