^^ OMG, I did not even know there was a song called "Pants on the Ground". I thought the guy who did it on American Idol had written those lyrics himself. lol lol

Jimmy Fallon does a good Neil Young impression.

I thought he did write it.

Me too, but apparently not.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

During the Atlanta auditions, 62-year-old activist 'General' Larry Platt appeared and performed his own original song, "Pants on the Ground." This version can be seen on many video sharing websites, such as YouTube.com [2]. Platt was ineligible to continue, due to the show's age limit of 28 years old. However, his performance became a viral hit, and several celebrities performed the song in the days that followed Wednesday's airing of American Idol, including Jimmy Fallon, impersonating Neil Young on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and Brett Favre, singing it in the locker room after beating the Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs, as well as the newscasters of the Today Show (Meredith Viera, Matt Lauer, Al Roker and Ann Curry).[18][19] Platt himself also made an appearance on ABC Television's The View on January 18, 2010, performing the song in its entirety.[20]

You're right. Turns out that Jimmy Fallon was imitating Larry Platt. doh! lol Thanks for clarifying. smile

I wish I could have seen the song it ints entirety on The View. lol

Jimmy Fallon was doing Neil Young doing Larry Platt. Heehee. It's funny how some of these people get on this really fast. I mean, there are remix'es and covers of this little ditty already. Wow.
