Those aren't Easter Eggs, they're just inside jokes, or references.

Definition of Easter Egg:

A virtual Easter egg is an intentional hidden message, in-joke or feature in an object such as a movie, book, CD, DVD, computer program, web page or video game

Definition of Inside Joke:

"Inside jokes are sometimes covertly included in creative works, such as art, literature, television shows, or video games. In such situations, the presence of the in-joke might not be obvious to the casual audience, but would be instantly recognizable to the creator's friends', co-workers, or other group. In-jokes of this sort are sometimes called Easter eggs, because they represent "hidden" jokes that can be discovered by savvy audience members."

That's not an Easter Egg.

And Easter Egg is a hidden menu option.....

No, actually Ernest that's not true. Yes, the examples YOU mentioned were 'hidden menu options' but "easter egg" does NOT equal "menu" - there are easter eggs in plenty of things that don't have menus of any sort.

"An Easter egg is an intentional hidden message, in-joke or feature in an object such as a movie, book, CD, DVD, computer program, web page or video game.'

I'm not sure which I'd be less excited to find, some pointless DVD extra, or a hard boiled egg confused smile
