can you appeal? lobby your local politician I know ways to get around it but it's just thrown everything into disarray. Will probably mean a cancellation of my holiday and a move back to the city for me....if it doesn't end everything and make him run away to England

The backup plan was for him to come back on a student visa but at the same time he's had an urge to go to England for ages and use his working holiday opportunity before it's too late. We've tickets to Fukuoka for a holiday on the 4th of February and have just found out he's got to be out before the 8th so at least one thing worked. I guess it's make it or break it time. See who wins...his itchy feet or me.
