I think it's all about self-esteem, confidence. If you're not comfortable with yourself being more attractive doesn't help much. I know people who aren't good looking but very confident and they achieve so much. I personally think that people who like themselves show that to others and that makes them very attractive to me. When I was young I was insecure as hell and didn't see myself as attractive. With years I'm gaining confidence, not much but enough to be realistic. People told me I looked good but I just couldn't see it and because of being insecure and shy people mostly didn't notice me. I got very little attention or maybe I did but didn't notice because of thinking wrong. Everything I achieved I had to achieve with very hard work, trust me, people didn't like me being shy. And watching pics of myself from back then feels like looking to someone else's pics, I did look nice and I didn't use any of the benefits. I'm still not someone busy with her looks but I'm nowadays very aware of the benefits and I sometimes have to force myself using them. When I'm having a confident period I really notice the difference. So without confidence there is no beauty. | |

I've been avoiding this thread... 
I have gotten better looking as I got older, but I don't think that it has really benefitted me... My job isn't based on looks, and my academic achievements have nothing to do with the way I look either. I don't seem to be scoring too well in the relationship dept., so  "Love Hurts.
