Sex and the City 2 Trailer

Has this been posted here yet? I think not. SATC watchers, are you excited for it?

I will see it and I'm sure I'll love it for what it is, but I don't have high expectations.

The last movie I had a ball seeing with my girl and gay friends cause it was just so nice to see the characters again and I can't help but love the fashion and we made a night of it, going for cosmos after and everything.

But upon watching the dvd, it really is a pretty bad movie. lol And I wouldn't have said that about the show at all. I'm guessing this will be more of the same.

I would give anything if they would leave the writing of the movie up to the female writers they had on the show during the best seasons. I blame the guy who writes and directs now for almost all the things I hate about it.

But I'll definitely go see it and give it a fair shot. I just hope it surpasses the first one.

Agree agree agree.
The movie was practically a caricature of the show. Like a bad saturday night live skit of itself.
And I can do without poo jokes, come on. neutral The humor never sunk that low on the show. Even when talking frankly about anal sex, funky spunk or whatever it was done with wit and intelligence and dare I say, class.

And yet I'll watch it again, so it's not THAT bad, I suppose. It's just disappointing considering where it came from.

I'm sorry but it looks utterly ridiculous. lol

I didn't mind the show - found it funny sometimes, but the first movie was brutally terrible.

However, I have no doubt that my female friends will insist on me seeing this one too.

I'm not an HBO guy, so I never saw the show. A friend online, without me ever THINKING of this, copied and sent me the WHOLE SERIES on DVD-R! I was surprised, but quite happy. I spent the better part of a month watching the shows, back to back, endlessly, having a crash course in all things Carrie and Company. It was fun. The movie had just come out, so I was late seeing it, and ended up just getting the DVD. (The "Poughkeepsie'd in her pants" scene is worth the cost alone.)

Having had this crash course in SATC, I felt like the movie was a good ending to it all. We knew Mr. Big's name, and we know most everyone was going to be okay. I really didn't feel like a sequel was needed. I mean, how far can you take these characters with the same trials and jokes before it's just old hat? I'll watch the sequel, but I have no idea if it's going to be good for the franchise or not.

Well hello again Handsome.

And the movie seemed to be a bit montage of flashy scenes. No dialog or any idea of a story.

True. It's disappointing in a huge way. I always enjoy watching those four characters, but it would just be so nice to see them in something really good again.

of course i'll be seeing it, but...

i wish they had left well enough alone.

the show ended VERY well, and the movies are just undoing that. the first movie was kinda meh but it made a fortune. now they are just going to make movies until they get so bad people don't care and stop going.

The Ishtar quip is funny. biggrin What the hell are they doing in that scene? That's the biggest red flag in the trailer for me. I hate ish like that in chick flicks.

Thats the fun part about it and what draws me to it. It's a great way to chill with the girls and then go out for drinks afterwards and feel as if you are in NY with the pumps on and the designer clothes, shoes and purses. So I will be doing that again next year. Can't wait excited I might even sport a new short dress when I go the next time around.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I haven't checked the site, but this might still be up. I just found this snippet via CNN.com:

DECEMBER 22, 2009
SATC2 Sneak Peek Tonight!
Slip off your Manolos and pour yourself a cosmo! The time has come for a little sneak peek of Sex and The City 2! Tonight at 10:30pm EST, epk.tv is posting a teaser from the much-anticipated sequel. Rumor has it this film is a little more fun (read: less heartbreaking) than the first, and based on the colorful fashion (and smiling faces) we've spotted on Samantha, Miranda, Carrie and Charlotte, we believe it!

Maybe it'll be more than a music montage like the trailer was.

I have to agree with this.
I liked the movie, but because Carrie Bradshaw finally got married--and that was all. I could have fastforwarded the whole damned thing and not really cared too much. lol
I did think the scene where she's looking at the ghostly face of herself staring back in the mirror after having been dumped by 'Big' was well done though.

It's just hard to stretch out the format of an HBO show to a full length movie and keep the audience interested, especially if that audience is male.
