lol Not to mention that ONLY one of the three was actually murdered since Arturo was deemed a suicide and Chris jumped his dumb/crazy ass into a moving truck and was seen by witnesses banging on the window and saying he was gonna kill himself. Hell, more athletes have been actually murdered by other men in recent years.

I'm real sorry about Chris Henry. It looks like, at this early stage in the case, he made a bad decision and paid dearly for it.

Much as I admired Steve the athlete, I have a hard time sympathizing with a dude who had a bunch of women on the side. The theory is his mistress/murderer became enraged when she realized he wasn't leaving his wife for her and discovered he was "cheating" on her with other women. My my observation, his wife was really nice (and beautiful).

Sad part is how media (local and otherwise) referred to his mistress as his "girlfriend" over and over again.

Sorry, Graycap. But, your thread kind of takes away the responsibility from the athletes in your examples. Fact is, Steve had been shirking his responsibility for a long time, in many ways.

I guess she was justified then . . . . .

When have you ever seen me say it was justified for someone to commit murder?

Exactly. You haven't.

There are lines you don't cross with people, though. Steve was well past the line by which a lot of women would've snapped. And probably not just with that mistress.

Heck, look at Tiger's wife. Common belief is she'd had it and went after him with his clubs.

It ain't rocket science.

Where am I quoting you miss sensitive? Exactly. I'm not.
Are you trying to justify their actions and blame the men in their lives for what they've done? Aren't they responsible for their actions as individuals and adults?

You sound as if you don't agree with murder unless someone crosses a "line?"
I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Not at all what I'm saying, dude. As am I, so shelve the Miss schtick.

I'm saying all adults are responsible for their actions. That said, a string of pro athletes have made bad decisions and have wound up dead. C'est tout.

But she obviously knew he was there, he was banging on the back window. He was half a mile from home and even being NFL fast I don't think he was still chasing the truck.
Once she knew he was in the back of the truck, she was responsible for his welfare.

You are assuming a WHOLE lot. She is NOT responsible for his welfare if HE chose to jump into the back of a moving truck. Also, there was a domestic dispute and SHE was leaving the scene so it's quite possible HE was doing something to her she was trying to get away from and wouldn't stop because she thought she was in danger. But I know this doesn't fit into your view that it's always the woman doing the abusing. rolleyes

Word! I thought the same thing. She was driving away and he ran after her and jumped in the back of the truck. Perhaps she didn't realize what was going on and got startled and slammed on the brakes causing him to fly out the back of the truck. But it seems he would have been pitched forward if she did that. We just don't know what happened, but right now it seems like a tragic accident.

Former Panther RB Fred Lane was murdered by his Wifey Deidre Lane.

She shot him with a 12 gauge shotgun, in the chest, and most likely as he was trying to flee on hands and knees, she shot in the back of the head. She claimed BWS.

She was released this year.
