I have to say I think the main fault of the vid is the mis-diagnosis. The man's sickness is that he's a pedophile, not a homosexual.

It is something to beware of, and a reason to not hitchhike. The video makes a serious mistake, but I actually think the intentions are not bad.

But people still confuse homosexuality & pedophilia especially when it's a man who preys on boys. But it's not the same thing, obviously.
