No, this is not about Prince or drag queens. It's about me.

My wife is only an inch or so shorter than me. So, when she puts high heels on, and her hair is done up, she towers over me. Now, I'm only 5'-7" (barely) so I tend to be shorter than most guys around to start with.

I saw a guy at the train station the other day, he looked Dominican, wearing shoes with about 2" heels. No joke. They looked like they could've been boots but he was wearing jeans over them. Of course, he was 20-something and no slouch in the looks dept. so he pulled it off. I'm neither young nor attractive, but I'm tempted to try it out anyway.

So my question is; what's the verdict on regular guys wearing shoes with heels?

To me a 2 inch heel on a man's boot/shoe isn't : " high heels "

i don't see why men shouldn't be allowed a little lift.

but I also have to say there's nothing wrong with shorter men, don't go climbing into a pair of platformers when I say this but I think it's kinda cute.

i thought men's shoes had lifts in them anyways. why not tell her to wear flats like Prince and Tom Cruise's old ladies have done?

I wear platform boots all the time. The biggest pair I have might be 4". And every orger I've met has seen me wear these which are around 2.5":



But I'm a goth. I don't know if they work on regular guys.
