NBA: Start of the season

Any NBA fans out there? Who is going 2 win the title?
My money is on the Lakers or Spurs.
The Bulls will be in last place.
The Clippers #1 pick has a broken knee cap. What else is new?

Knicks will suck for the ninth year in a row. All I care about is July 1, 2010, when the big-name free agents become available.

Do u think any of those guys will be leaving their current teams? Most don't.

LeBron's not going anywhere, but maybe Bosh, Joe Johnson, Amare, I don't care. We need somebody!

It will come down to the Lakers vs the Celtics in the Finals. With the Lakers winning it.

The only free agents I see leaving our:
Chris Bosh. He will get a max deal with some team (Knicks).
Amare Stoudmire, if he makes through the season with the Suns. Either way, he is head elsewhere.

My favorite team: Seattle Supersonics. But since they are gone (for now) I am liking the Portland Trailblazers. I got my sit on the bandwagon already. biggrin

The Clippers are a mess.....they need new ownership and their own City 2 play 4.

I so agree. They are one of the worst sports teams ever. There ownership sucks big time. And common sense would have told them years ago, to not play in the same gym or city, as the most successful franchise ever.

Portland will give the Lakers and Spurs a good run for Western Conference Super Power. They are loaded. Plus, we added Andre Miller....ouch!!!

TNT double-header tonight - Cavs/Celtics & Lakers/Clippers

The Clippers shouldn't even exist - what a joke of a franchise.

I know. Seattle Supersonics fans, we lose a team and LA gets two and nobody really cares about that 2nd team in LA. Go figure.

You, Graycap and any other NBA fans in the org. I am apart of this league where we draft and argue about our players and who has the better team. If you have time, swing by and check us out. It is better cool. You get to act like GMs and build a team for the season. The seasons are pretty quick. You really don't have to comment on anything. Just pick a team that you think is better and wait until the next round to vote again.

Here is the link http://quickgm1.proboards.com/index.cgi

Join up and have fun. One rule (there are many) but this is the big one: Don't create multiple accounts. We had a person create 2 fake names and got busted. So don't be that guy... biggrin

Also, tell them that JellyBean sent you. Thanks.

How are my Hawks looking? lol I must admit, I've not kept up to date with things during the off season. Is Josh Smith still there? Is he going to play better again or is it more of last year's slide? Joe's still there, I take it.

Whenever I see KG now I can't help but think of Hellboy. My wife always says 'there's Hellboy' even though she actually means he looks like that dead skeleton dude Hellboy carried on his back in one part of the movie. wacky lol

But will he stay healthy? The NBA season is a grind, and then you have two months of playoffs on top of that. 'Sheed will be a big help, if that fool behaves himself.

Well, that's good. So what happened there along the way where he looked like he could turn into an all-star with just a couple more seasons but started to play worse instead?

Its gonna be a Boston Celtics vs Los Angeles Lakers Final. I am a diehard C's fan, and all though it pains me to say this, I think Artest is the x factor and the Lakers will beat the C's in 7.

Yeah it should be an interesting season. I know my Sixers are
just going to be a middle of the pack team. They would be fortunate
to win 41 games and earn a seventh seed or eighth seed.
The big dogs in the east will be Cleveland,Boston, and Orlando.
The west will come down to the Lakers and Spurs. I think the next
tier is Portland,Denver,and Dallas.
Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint
