Cell Phone question *bluetooth*

Okay so my cell phone is experiencing audio difficulties lol. people can always hear me, but i cannot always hear them..it goes in and out

i have a one year warranty, i can send it in to get fixed but i kind of dont want to. if i send it in then i have to send it all the way to texas to get repaired *kind paranoid about that*. then i have to wait 3-4 weeks to get it back.

i LOVE my fone! yes i am one of THOSE people. i dont have the greatest fone in the world *original samsung alias* but it serves my purposes just fine.
i have a back up to use in the mean time *shitty flip fone lol* but i'm still kind of paranoid if something were to happen in transit.

so my question is: i've been considering getting a bluetooth anyway so i was thinking if i get a bluetooth can i just use that instead? meaning will the sound on the handset affect the bluetooth sound? i'm thinking no because it is two different speakers but i want to make sure before i do anything.
Yesterday is dead...tomorrow hasnt arrived yet....i have just ONE day...
...And i'm gonna be groovy in it!

The only way I could guess if this would help you is to borrow a friends bluetooth headset, have it link to your phone and try it out...

If I were you, I would definitely send it off for repair. Who is your service provider?

It must be bad if they need to send it off. You don't have a Verizon repair center near you? I know it's not uncommon to have the item shipped to another state for repair, but it is such a pain.

Could you trade in your phone for a new one?

well my warranty is with samsung not verizon so if i send it to a verizon repair center then i would have to come out of pocket for it, whereas sending it to texas is free

but the trade in idea sounds good...how exactly would that work? i kno, i sound really ignorant, stick with me lol

It all depends on your carrier. I don't have Verizon, but I do have Sprint. With Sprint, they view your account and if your phone is a certain age, they will trade it for a new one. Sometimes, a cost is involved, but worth it. I usually get a new phone every year and a half.

I suggest that you either go to a Verizon Wireless store (not a store like a Best Buy or Radio Shack...they don't usually have as many selections for your provider). You can also check their website.

A lot of times on their site, you can log into your account and view your billing and also check and see if your phone is eligible for an upgrade. If you are unable for an upgrade, they will usually sell you a new phone at a reduced rate.
