I am looking for a laptop computer
the guy at DELL told me some laptop screens and LCD and some are LED
which one is better

they are both LCD screens, but some use fluorescent tubes to light the LCD screen, better ones use LED's to light the screen.

The LED lit screen is better, but usually more expensive.

Dell sucks imho ....

the tech support sucks everytime I called they tell me or bribe me into getting shit I don't need(programs that don't need, techs that don't know or run around, won't tell you how to do things half the time). Etc Etc.

I got 2 Dells and (laptop n desktop) don't get me wrong good computers but bad tech support.

I recommend a HP or Mac. I'm getting a HP next and mom owns HP she never has had a bit of trouble with it.

Edited to say if ur warranty is up on ur Dell they either won't help or give u very little(even if ur are on the preffered payment plan)

LED give you a bit sharper resolution and use less electricity thereby making a single charge last longer.

Get a mac.

2 yrs ago i got an HP pavillion dv6000
Ive had nothing but problems. mad

had to take it in to replac e a faulty network card.

Now I am getting daily updates that will NOT update...I did a system restore & still no go. sad
Now i get a pop up saying security is at risk..please update..it wont let me!

oh & it turns itself on in the middle of the night. eek

I will NEVER buy an HP product...My next purchase will be a mac

Both me and my wife have Sony Vaio's they're great... I love mine with the silver lizard skin pattern exterior lol

Toshiba Satellites are great! I bought mine last Black Friday for $350 at Best Buy and haven't had a bit of trouble with it! I was surprised to see they weren't offered for sale this Black Friday! confused
