Dollhouse got cancelled!!! Wave bye to 'Dollhouse'... Joss Whedon's "Dollhouse," pulled from Fox's schedule during November sweeps, was officially canceled yesterday, says the Hollywood Reporter. It's a move unlikely to surprise anyone who reads Nielsen ratings, but bound to trigger flashbacks in fans of Whedon's last Fox show, "Firefly." One bright note: The show, says the Reporter, is expected to produce all 13 episodes ordered, and Fox plans to air the remaining shows starting Dec. 4. -From Philly.com, Arts & Entertainment, Nov. 12, 2009 Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I have to be honest I hoped that the second season would jump out of the gate with some great action and storylines, instead it limped out of the box so I'm not surprised.
Joss needs to go to cable where he has a better chance of not getting canceled in his first couple of seasons. It takes a good season 1/2 for him to get everyone where he wants them to be before he ensues chaos upon them. I never watched it, but I think it's cool that Fox is airing the rest of the episodes, so hopefully viewers can get a nice ending.
I heard Eastwick and Hank were also canceled.

It's true, the first season sucked... at least until episode 6, and by then the reputation of the show -- and its awful time slot -- had ensured its eventual demise. Its miraculous second-season pickup was heartening, then, as I'd hoped buzz around fan effort would garner more viewers. In the end, though, the second season was a repeat of the first with an impossible time slot and mediocre-at-best eps early on. The past couple episodes were fantastic, but they were too little too late.
Bravo to Fox for carrying the full 13 episodes. Stopping cold turkey would REALLY have hurt. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

The show didn't do anything for me really until midway between the first season. I literally fell out of my chair when Alpha's girlfriend's face was revealed in the season finale. And I thought the last episode that aired about Sierra was very sweet. That's the Joss Whedon I know. The cancellation doesn't surprise me at all the way the ratings were at the start of the season. At least we all know how it ends from seeing the "Epitaph One" episode.
