Has the immediacy of the modern age changed us?

Facebook, Myspace, t'internet, Freindsreunited etc. means that most people are a Google search away.

Have any of you been tempted? What were the results, crushing disappointment and humilation, or reignited passions and happily ever after?

2009 I've bumped into 4 of them and i kinda think its spooky!

....just found out my first is currently a Yoga teacher specialising in some sort of zen massage. I've considered booking a session up in disguise just to see what she's like.

my first serious crush - married for the second time living on a farm near my parents, running an office supplies store in a town of 12,000

my first actual boyfriend - working for the Hong Kong Times (?) as graphic designer, still single, and sailing a lot, in Hong Kong.

My first love:she is married now, teaches at the same high school that we went to, and she is coaching J.V. girl's basketball.

He's working for his dad now. I don't know what's going on with his personal life and I honestly do not care

I actually found my old boyfriend from highschool on myspace (yeah, I said boyfriend ) He ended up being gay too...talk about birds of a feather

In 1994, my first love wrote me from jail, but I was with someone else. I never wrote back. In 2005, I saw him on the NYC transit train, and he told me that he is no longer with his wife. That was the last I saw him. No contact. The wife, according to him, put him through hell for so many years. She had him locked up. It's possible that she was the one he dumped me for.

My very 1st crush/love grade school style, is married with 3 beautiful children to the girl ( Tina, a friend of mine in high school as well ) he dated in High School ... he is he head football coach at a high school in the area we all grew up in ~ he/they are all doing well and we just sopke ( chatted web style ) last week.

My 1st real love - we dated for 5+ yrs _ is married to another friend from high school ~ lisa ... they have 3 children and one grandchild. Lisa's Dad just passed away a few days ago and that is when he and I spoke last

He is married with 2 children and we are still very close.

For a time I had to avoid Hooters in my town due to it being staffed almost completely by exes of mine.

I made some bad choices in my early life.

My brother and first love hated, despised, loathed each other
which meant the relationship was doomed right from the beginning.
We stayed together for about 18 months.
When we split for good up I was devastated. I never quite got over him.

I recently found out that he's dead, from a drug over-dose.
As soon as I heard this I became extremely upset and emotional
I wonder if things worked out between us if he'd still be alive now.

No idea where he is or what he's doing. I don't particularly care to find out, though I wish him well.

My very first boyfriend was a gymnastics athlete and ballet dancer, we only dated for a couple of months but after we broke up I thought I'd never fall in love again...HA..duh..

He's been a dancer/singer ever since and has starred in all the big musicals.
We still keep in touch every now and again.

My first love was killed 3 years ago.

Before he died, we were real close.
We had so fun together growing up and it breaks my heart till this day that he's not here. But all in all, he'll never leave my heart.
And I'm so very glad to have known one of the sweetest most caring man I've ever known.
