Qantas are arses when it comes to such things, they are wound up tight but in line with protecting their clients they are under obligation to deal with this sufficiently instead of charging him under those circumstances. For example if he arrived at the airport late, without any prior flight then he is liable, but he was delayed due to circumstances surrounding the airline and not personal, so they must reprotect him on their service, or at the very least contacted VB ahead of time to inform them and action their service promise. so I wonder why they made him pay? Unfortunately for many QF manage to find some way to juice what they can out of such situations. I would say it would all depend on the situation at hand. If they did their job correctly from the beginning, they would have called ahead at Virgin to inform us and ur man would have made his VB flight in plenty of time. Instead they pissfarted around and his night was held up. There was no reason for them to hold him there for such an inadequate time. All staff can use their own empowerment to deal with such things, why they didn't is beyond me... | |

I'll never understand the way they operate, maybe that's why we lovingly call them Cuntas at work... On the other hand, I'm happy he's going to make it back to MEL tonight.. Don't laugh! It's the official Japanese pronunciation of Quantas!!!! They answer the phones like that and all! "...and If all of this Love Talk ends with Prince getting married to someone other than me, all I would like to do is give Prince a life size Purple Fabric Cloud Guitar that I made from a vintage bedspread that I used as a Christmas Tree Skirt."
