I'd love to get it. But because the US government totally fucked up vaccine production, hardly anyone has been able to get it. rolleyes
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

In Canada, it was a free for all, until one day in November they realized the country only had so many doses, and decided to focus on "high-risk" groups. The day they had the meeting, the clinics were all closed and the vaccines had to be destroyed.

Not only that, but I hope people who've decided they're tough enough to endure the virus when/if they contract it are also somehow tough enough to scare their virus into not spreading to others. lol Quarantine of the infected -- not to mention nonchalant self-quarantining -- has awfully limited effectiveness. If they can make it out of bed, many persons won't care enough to simply stay home. And others who may be more conscientious are contagious at least a day before and several days after they are symptomatic. confused

It was quite the mess at first. I'm in a "high-risk" group, so I got my shot early. Waited over 4 hours. Many of the kinks have been worked out now, though: My wife and kid got their shots yesterday, and the wait was only about 10 mins.

Yes. And for any Albertans that might be reading this, STARTING MONDAY NOVEMBER 23, anyone who is over 6 months can line up for the H1N1 vaccine. The clinic addresses are on the Alberta Health Services website.

I don't want to hear the excuse now about how people CAN'T get the shot if they so choose.

It's now 48 hours since I was injected with the H1N1 Flu Vaccine, and my left shoulder is still tender where the needle went in. But I feel great, and I'm not dead.

I love your updates!! lol

Thank You! It's now been four days since I got the shot, and I'll be damned if my arm still isn't a little sore, but it's diminishing. I'm 45(+1) and still alive!

No, my son already had it and I've been battling bronchitis for weeks now so I probably already had it as well.

Absolutely not! Never had a flu vaccine and never will. My immune system is strong and I follow a healthy diet and regime, besides I've already had the swine and it was a piece of piss.

Are you sure it was the real deal?

confused

nod

Sure was I had tests and was diagnosed. Not everyone will deal with it in the same way it depends how strong ur immune system is and tolerances to the symptoms. I did feel sick but it was not drastic and it happened while I was in Vanuatu.

Glad it went well. If "well" is the right term... confused

I asked because, if I had £1 for everyone who claims they had flu when it was a cold I'd have, well, about £27 or something. smile

I'm fairly robust myself, but I've never had flu so i don't know how I'd react. I'd probably cry like a baby I mean pull double shifts at the gym to work it off. nod

I got the flu shot yesterday morning. I had to make an appointment, but it took almost no time and I just had to stay at the health clinic for 10 minutes or so just in case I had allergic reactions to the flu shot. The shot is for free here but they are starting to run out of supplies at the moment since they started servicing those who are not in the high risk groups. The vaccine here is the same one they use in Canada but so far there have been no incidents of faulty vaccine over here.
I was a bit weak in the left shoulder afterwards and got unusally tired last night but luckily I slept like a stone and my shoulder is almost fine now.
