I've deciced to get the H1N1 Flu Shot. I volunteer at Canadian Blood Services, and they have made a big request for volunteers to be available to work extra time incase the H1N1 virus becomes a big deal and people will still need blood. So for that reason I'm going ahead with it the first week of November. I hope there won't be an ill feeling right after, but I'm prepared for it.

I became an illuminati watchdog this year, and I can see how a flu shot would be the perfect way to administer widespread ANYTHING, but that sounds far too sinister and far-fetched, even for me.

I will get the H1N1 shot if I don't already have a cold that week, because I don't want to suppress my immune system.

I've decided that my kids and I should get it but we're all sick right now anyway (low-grade cold, sniffles, cough, no fever) so I have NO idea when it'll happen...

I've never had a flu shot and I'm not going to start now.

That said, it is extremely rare for me to get the flu. And I haven't gotten sick at all (that I can recall) since I quit smoking over a year ago.

I wash my hands frequently and I don't hang out with the diseased. Here's hoping all goes well for me.

No. I figure if every one else I know is getting it, they won't get sick and subsequently neither will I. Luckily I'm not around kids at all. My biggest threat are the nasty ass people on the subway who cough, hack, and sneeze without covering their mouths. I try not to touch anything on the train and wash my hands frequently.

there was something called Guillain-Barré Syndrome that some of the people that got the shot in 1976 died from.
