I'll never understand some white people's obsession with the N word and its variants, and their rabid desire to either be "allowed" to say it, or understand why they're not "allowed" to say it.

Anyone who knows me, though, knows that I attack racism, white supremacy and white hypocrisy every damn time I see it - whether it comes from someone I love, someone I dislike, or someone neutral.

It's funny to me that when I point it out, people of color usually know that I'm speaking the truth, and white people get extremely defensive and think I'm attacking them. I'm generalizing, but in my experience this is mostly true.

This is because we (white people) are trained and conditioned to protect racism and white supremacy. This conditioning is so complete that we are totally unaware of it unless we are taught and trained otherwise.
