9 gets a '6'. lol

The plot was ... very 'been there, done that', and the end was hokey. You weren't given any compelling reason to care about the characters, and the movie ended up being a sequence of 'challenges' like in a video game. It even looks and feels like a video.

I believe the strength of the movie was supposed to be Burton's imaginary 'other world' vision, and except for a few of the World War II style nods, the world wasn't all that impressive to look at in my opinion.

But if you're going to see it, see it at the cinema lol
That's because some of the scenes are so detailed you'd probably loose a lot of that watching a smaller screen.

last flick i saw was in the theatres, halloween 2 also highfive. i'd probably give it like a 7 or 8 out of 10. it was decent enough. i was kinda stoned watching it mind you, tripping on the sheer weirdness of it nutty, with his moms (rob zombie's wife drool love) and the white horse and shit nuts. mike don't give up neither. stab a motherfucker like a million times and make sure they ass is dead lol eek. zombie's flicks are always cool as fuck though. dig how he kinda resurrected this tired ass franchise cool.

Last time i was in a cinema i watched Simpsons, The Movie.

I give it a 11 out of 10. it was fun, i like to laugh and the Simpsons are my favorite cartoon for years now.

A grownup next to me got totally into the movie. The sounds she made when it became exciting justifies the extra point.

Let me add that when i went to c Halloween2 sum of the women were screaming, especially the woman in front of me,which caused me to laugh. Sum people hated the movie,as everyone was leaving after it ended, sum guy said I cant believe I paid money for this shit". I know its just a movie but I wanted to give him a piece of my mind being that im a huge halloween fan and the whole franchise means a lot to me,but i didnt say anything.

At the movies...

HP & the half blood prince

Excellent movie, stayed pretty true to the book, with a few creative differences.

one critisim, they didnt explain the half blood prince bit.

Maybe thats why they are doing last movie in 2 parts...to tie up loose ends shrug

8/10

i've been hunting for luis bunuel stuff lately, and so far i've watched:

Viridiana
Belle de jour
La Voie Lactée (The Milky Way)
Le charme discret de la bourgeoisie (The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie)
Le fantôme de la liberté (The Phantom of Liberty)
Cet obscur objet du désir (That Obscure Object of Desire)

and they all have been a delight to watch, although Viridiana started off with a sickening theme.

(500) Days Of Summer.

I would give this one a 7/10. Some scenes were great, but some of it was pretentious and unbelievable. Overall, however, I liked it a lot. And Joseph Gordon-Levitt is cute.

I believe the last was the Friday the 13th remake. (Yeah... I was that bored one night. disbelief)

Interesting to see Jason with what seemed to be somewhat longer-term motive, as opposed to a mere killer reflex. But this redux adds zero to the mythology or aesthetic of the franchise otherwise. The backstory hasn't changed a lick, the characters still don't elicit an ounce of concern, the cliches are still there without any self-awareness that might make them fun, and while the kills are slightly -- just slightly -- more complex, the Saw or Hostel films bleed circles around this flick where inspired sadism is concerned.

Big waste of time.

2 of 5 stars.

"Julie and Julia" - I give it 3.5 stars out of 5.

***SPOILER ALERT***

I would have given this movie 5 out of 5 stars except:

1. There was not one damn reason why there had to be so much...hell, ANY smoking in the Meryl Streep part of the movie; and

2. Why did they have to make Julia Child a bitch at the very end?!? They spent the whole movie making me like her, and then it turns out she's "a bit of a pill". ARGH!

I watcehd BLACK PIPE LAYERS 4 the other day....its supposde to be th e last flic in the series...starring Justin Slayer, BOZ with his extra big dick and of course Nat Turnher....shitt was for sho VERY predictabel if you seen BLACK PIPE LAYERS 1 and BLACK PIPE LAYERS 2 butt the chicks were kinda aight in thnis one. Tera Joy was a bit sad or depressd, dont know WTF s wrogn with her butt she wasnt really into it this time...she hott butt she aint got shitt on Janet Perons performance in BLACK PIPE LAYERS 3 where she ,to quote the great Justin Slayer, "fucked like a little demon".
teh other perfromances were OKAY butt the thing is that those chikcs all kinda looked the same, except for Tera and Angel Dark. the latter was REALLY into it..dp action goin on with Nat and Jsuting and some serios kissing ha hah ah ha ha ..buttt they kinda got into the action before it all got too romantic...

the locations were pretty mcuh similar to the ones in the prequels..dont know why they stop this series ...i likke it much better then Justin SLayers Culo Grande series..and of course much much better then most of that overrated Rocco Siffredi shitt.

just my 2 cents i Wanted to share with yall
