i consider fantasy horror
Pan Labyrinth
The darker elements of alice in the wonderland
you know movies that seem fantasy but in reality have tinges of fantasy novels.

i also liked the cell

It's based on those childhood stories (Latino) that I heard as a child (tragic) perfect for Halloween without being too creeped out.

I also love Witches of Eastwick, Practical Magic (oldies but goodies) and Johnny Depp in Sleepy Hollow!

fantasy horror in self is not a genre(rather a term used by me and kaya) i used to describe movies that tinge on fantasy/sci-fi with horror. as a Le Fanu Fan i am very interesting in stories with a gothic aesthetic.

but do see the movie

well no. i am a very visual person. the aesthetics and the story have to be good in order to please. but there are some instances in which the aesthetics are great but the stories suck! with these movies i only watch them once! the others i keep in the my dvd player for a very long time!

here's an other example of my non existing genre, the movie is called hansel and gretel! a korean horror movie with tinges of fantasy horror. i really do hope you like it!

also if i am allowed i would like to include vincent price as a proto-fantasy horror actor! lol
