there is so much violence in today society
and i not just talking about the violence on our local news programs or our entertaiment outlets or the simple fact that one nation is declaring war on another.

the violence that i am talking of is the violence that goes on in our citys, neighborhood, schools, churches, playground, backyards, living rooms and bedrooms.
the violence that is done to our mental conciousness and our spiritual awarenesses.

if we are *in a dated with words like:

Faggot
Nigger
rapist
murder
sodomey
molestation
guns
death
terrorist
bombs

and many more that my mind has stored but are just not out in the open

if we are *in a dated with words like these
who do we become if we are merely children
who imatate there atmosphere.

the though of it is spooky electricity

as long as there is man kind, violence will always exsist. the truth is people thrive off of violence and that's why it's still here 2 this very day. I think human being are born with a natural violent instinct,it's called anger and sometimes can lead 2 rage, the thing is we have 2 be the one's who knows how 2 control it. Anywayz, words "such as nigger and faggot" It's not the words that hurt, but it's the content ... i just can't believe how so many people give words so much power ... it's just a word... it won't make me or break me... we need 2 stop giving credit 2 all the nagativity that exsist ... if u pretend it's not there maybe it'll go away

if violence were banned from the airwaves (i.e. sucky songs about racism, violence, tv shows where everyone gets blown away) would people think about more positive things?

in this sense i like prince's notion of a 'digital garden', because i do think that society is wallowing in a feedback cycle where life is imitating the worst in life which is imitating the worst in art.

most religions agree that a healthy mindset is a form of self-discipline we should strive for.

but it's hard in this world.

I think the only reason it seems to be so bad, is these days we can access information 27/7.

Once upon at time, much was hidden, or was happening in another person's space.

i still disagree. because, you spend all that time being afraid, what kind of message you sending out to your uncle's cousin's niece and nephews?
