Imago

There's alot of buzz over it nod

I'll be interested to see how it pans out and if it gets adopted by businesses.

I think Micrsooft is trying out new things in Office 2010's version of Outlook too.

Either way, IBM's Notes needs to recka-nize and get on the game/

What is this wave thing? It sort of looks like a load of desktop applications online. I don't get it.

It's kind of like chatting but on disgustingly obscene amounts of steroids. cocnurrent editing of documents by multible people...a chat window, techinacaly called a wave here, that multiple people can be using that will, for instance, automatically update a blog page...drop and drag pics, apps, widgets into the web page without having to go through an upload prompt. kinda like taking the pic OFF the web, but u're putting it on. If U cam LATE to a session of people going through a meeting, and those people are taking notes....U can playback the asession and see the order of how things progressed. ANYone can edit, change what's going on and U're advied as to who is editing what...or U can set it so only certian people can updat, or only U can update. U can search the wave for certain thing and the search is updaetd in real time.....if U're searcin f gor "GAME" for instance and "game isn't there when U first searched....if U leave the search open, when someone creates "game" in the wave, your search will automatically update in real time, when "game" gets realed, it will immediately disappear from your search window.....waves that U create can be inserted into new waves....

....everything together seems, to me atleast, to turn the way we interact with the web on it's head.

did U watch the demo video? it's OFF THE CHAIN. I don't understand why more geeks on the org. aren't commenting. THis thing is blowing my mind!

and if my convulouted discription sounds dumb, it's cuz I am not NEARLY do this thing justice in the manner of which I'm ddescribing it. The demo vid is REAAAAALLLLY looooong. Google even says so...liretally...the description says loooong video...but it's fairly comprehensive.

the code is open source as well....so small, focused 3rd party(shit, even 4th and 5th and 6th party....your geeky cousin in the basement even) development teams can create products...infuse new ideas. This thing is gonna turn the web inside-out.

I know I sound like a rep from google, blowing smoke up everyones ass about this...but I ain't with google....just REALLY impressed but the concept put forward here.
