Have you guys ever worked with people that say or do inappropriate things at work?

I ask this because my current boss can be so inappropriate at times. Today, during a department meeting, he started describing (in detail I might add) about his different sexcapades he had in his 20s when he was in the service. That wasn't the grossest part. He then went into detail as to the different std's he had contracted. Also the detail on how it was treated.

The guy is crazy. He has said lots of things at work that I consider inappropriate, but this is the worst. barf

I don't want to hear about yeast infections, clap, or anything else before I finish my first cup of coffee.

Don't know how it works in Texas but here in BC that's grounds for filing a complaint of general workplace harassment.

So far I've been lucky in the work department. I've never run into anybody that bad. But in high school there was this one art teacher who was always making suggestive and inappropriate comments in a joking manner with students. Most people thought it was hilarious -including me -but more than a few parents were pissed right off when they caught wind of how he'd act.

I've seriously considered it, but I don't work for a major corporation. I work for a family owned business that happens to be HUGE. There are a lot of people that work there that are apart of the "good old boy" system. Ruffling feathers in this bad economy is not something I want to do. Especially since we have had several layoffs.

If they try to fire you for exercising your rights, take their asses to court over it.

I don't think they would fire me right off. I think they would eventually start giving bad reviews so that it could be a ground for termination. They've done it to others for different scenarios. I've just decided to try to get out of this department.

I used to work as a patternmaker some time ago and I was hit on by both father and son (who used to work in the same area) a day apart. The father was my supervisor. The environment was very jovial and no one took anyone seriously. At least I didn't. Btw both of them were married including myself, but that does not stop anyone. So I'm busy doing my work and the son comes and asks me to go out. I was lol because his father had asked me out the day before, so I told the son that I am still thinking about what to tell his Dad lol
He was eek and we both bursted out laughing.
