Edition > Advanced > Preferences > Modify ( select your external hard drive and folder here, eg. G:\My music\iTunes) > OK

File > Library > Organize Library > Consolidate Library

smile

Once you make sure all your files are there, you can delete the original ones

I use Spanish iTunes so I may not have translated everything right
