Let's see, I didn't have help from mom and dad to pay for college and I didn't work 24 hours a day to pay tuition so yes. I also completed a Master's program in the same fashion, so yes.

Most people that I encoutner that have no debt either A: financed tuition through their folks, or B: didn't go to college at all.If it weren't for loans, I would have been on the street, no books, no water, gas, food. The good thing is, I work in non profit right now, and my loans are deffered - I don't make enough money. So I'm not losing sleep.

My credit card debt is very low (maybe 100?). I like to use the real dough for that. Although I use one card for rewards, but always pay it off.

with a debit card...with a Visa logo. mr.green

That doesn't always work. A friend of mine does not have a credit card, but a bank/debit card with a MC or Visa logo -- he cannot rent a car in NYC.

maybe he didn't have the funds....???

I've ordered on line, rented cars, bought plane tickets, concert tickets...NEVER had any issue. but I got money in the account so maybe that's why. wink

That is all I have in my purse. I never use a credit card. Sure many many times I wish I had the guts to splurge on something great and out of the ordinary. But the feeling of not having all that debt is a even better feeling.

He had the money, but that's irrelevant. When he called to inquire, they flat out said they don't accept debit cards. Also, RodeoSchro had a similiar issue when he visited New York. See post #10 on this thread. Some businesses simply don't take debit cards.
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

wow, crazy! I need a crown on my tooth, and I am hesitant because I don't want to charge it, but I don't have that much cash & my insurance doesn't cover the whole thing.

I know someone who was in your exact position.

She had it done in Mexico.

She got a mini-vacation and a top set of front teeth for less than just the teeth here.

with all that dental work you'd need a vacation, too!
