This is the most annoying double standard! My GF & I (who I've lived with for 10 years) have had to sleep on the floor or in bunk beds while my married brother or sister has gotten their own rooms w/full size beds! My Legacy

I feel like starting a British chapter of this movement. Seriously, the next time I change jobs. I'm inventing a family. If you're single (and childless) you get fucked over time and time again by employers. Colleagues regularly get the soft soap treatment if they call in for an Emergency Holiday because little Tommy has fallen downstairs for the third time that month.

Don't get me wrong-I love my spouse and kids and wouldn't trade them for anything in the world, but it is a true blessing to have FMLA for to take care of things FAMILY related that us married folk need to tend to. That's what it is for, after all. Go cry in your beer cup at the club. You know what, you made that sound kinda fun. And I don't even have to look for a babysitter! LOL!!!!!
