Aurora Borealis For besides dreaming with music, I have an occult dream: I don't want to die without seeing one Aurora Borealis.
Did anybody here already have that experiences? >Tell me [Edited 8/9/09 16:54pm]

All the pictures I see look so fake. I know they're not. I would love to get to experience these lights in my lifetime. I never get tired of looking the sky at night inside. Therefore, you understand, an aurora borealis is my dream.... same that in my country it was possible to attend that beauty, I think i could not speak about him as if it was a banality. The colors and the light... it should be magnificent.

It's been over 10 years since I've been the northern lights. Lived in Anchorage for nearly 4 years 1996-2000 and caught the aurora borealis sometimes on a nightly occurance between early fall and early spring.
Mostly caught green blobs, but sometimes green wavy "curtains." This one time, me and my fellow airmen walked outside and watched the northern lights dance for a solid hour, changing from green to white to red to yellow. A very positively charged evening.

I was gonna say.... Go North. The Northern Lights are always beautiful, but when you see them almost every night you don't even bother going outside a lot of the time. I think it's pretty much a rule that every part of the world has its own natural wonders, but the locals just don't give a shit because to them it's so commonplace. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Ex-Moderator | I've seen them a handful of times in my life. It really is breathtaking.
It's been forever since I've seen them now, though, as there's too much light pollution in the city. |
