I have a HUGE 'fro... ...and want my hair like Prince's during the Lovesexy, Batman, Grafitti Bridge times. What would be best, having it flat ironed or is going more drastic with a perm necessary? [Edited 7/27/09 22:16pm] "Get up off that grey line"

Well if you're black, then you would want to relax your hair, blow dry it and curl it with curling irons or put rollers in it and sit under a dryer.
If you're white simply wash, blow dry and curl with curling irons. Now if you're swirl, Black/White mix or some other, you may need a combination of things or nothing at all. All depends on your hair texture. __________________________________________________

If you are black and you don't want to have to keep putting the cream in your hair on a regular to maintain that style, I say blow it out and this put the straightners on it (depending on your hair type). Before I started locing my hair, I just used straightners on my natural hair cause I wasn't going back to the perm. Just make sure you use the right product on your hair before you straighten. Don't perm it, just go to a Black salon & tell them what you want (without chemicals)... or have someone who knows how to style hair do it...

If you perm it, just use a really mild one
When I was a kid my mother would get strong perms for me unnecessarily and way too often and it burned really bad, but now that I take care of my own hair I only get a mild perm maybe 5 times a year . [Edited 7/28/09 14:36pm] If you will, so will I
